How to do a South Dublin accent

  1. Round and stretch 'o' and 'ow' sounds: 'rowsh' for rush, 'Dorrrt' for Dart.
  2. Use a soft R that curls a little, more American than traditional Irish.
  3. Lengthen key words and add 'like' and 'totally' with an easy, lazy rhythm.
  4. Keep the pitch relaxed and slightly bored, then rise sharply on 'amazing'.

The most common mistake

Sounding like a broad Dublin city accent; D4 is smoother, rounder and drawled.
