How to do a Kerry accent
- Slow down and let each phrase roll gently up and down, like a slow wave.
- Use soft 't' and 'd' sounds for 'th': 'de cows', 'tink'.
- Keep R's after vowels, lightly and warmly: 'field', 'farm' with a soft R.
- Lengthen the stressed vowel in each phrase, as if savouring it.
The most common mistake
Going fast and choppy like a city accent; Kerry should feel calm and drawn out.
