π How to Do A Royal Speech Voice (and Test It)
The royal broadcast is slow, formal and carefully paced, with very old-fashioned RP and a tight, high-set voice. Each phrase is weighed before it is spoken.

How to do it
- Use clipped, upper-class vowels: 'house' leans towards 'hice', 'year' towards 'yah'.
- Speak slowly and evenly, with a small pause after each phrase.
- Keep the pitch slightly high and the mouth only a little open, with very little jaw movement.
- Make the voice gentle and steady, with no big emotional swings.
The most common mistake
Sounding pompous and booming; this voice is soft, measured and restrained.
