🤠 How to Do A Cowboy Voice (and Test It)
The Texan drawl stretches single vowels into two and takes its sweet time getting anywhere. The R's are strong and the delivery is relaxed, almost lazy.

How to do it
- Turn 'I' into a flat 'ah': 'Ah reckon', 'mah horse', 'tahm' for time.
- Stretch vowels into two parts, so 'here' becomes 'hee-yer' and 'well' becomes 'way-ul'.
- Talk slowly and pause before the important word, as if you are chewing it first.
- Let the sound come a little through the nose for twang, and drop the G in '-ing' words.
The most common mistake
Rushing; a drawl only works if you sound like you have all afternoon.
